Quantum Moving was founded in 2018. The two owners, however, have over 25 years of combined experience in the industry. Our movers and drivers all have a minimum of 5 years to 15 plus years of experience.  We do not hire rookies.  This experience has taught us how best to handle the moving process. No matter whether you’re moving locally or long distance within California, commercial or residential, our team can help.

As a team, we pride ourselves on our professional service. We always arrive on time for a job, working carefully to make sure that your belongings are packed and transported properly. Most people who have used a moving company to relocate a few times have had at least one or more terrible experiences.  From not receiving a realistic price quote, to additional unforeseen or extra charges, to major damages, rude and inexperienced movers, and salespeople with an attitude, to claims that are ignored and late deliveries or having the movers show up with a truck that is too small or with less movers than expected…or even not show up at all. 

Moving is stressful enough without all these problems and nobody wants to go through this kind of a moving experience or get ripped off and yet these things still happen all the time and far more frequently than they should. 

Unfortunately, there is just not enough regulation within the moving industry to prevent these things from happening.  Customers be warned – Please do your homework and check out reviews and complaints on any company that you are thinking about hiring.  Of course, the best recommendation is word of mouth. Daniel Polikoff – CEO/PARTNER (14 years experience)

Has a background in cell and molecular biology and cancer research with a graduate Master’s degree from San Francisco State University.  His undergraduate degree was obtained at Loyola Marymount University in Los Angles in 1986 in Biology and pre-med with a minor in biopsychology.  He spent about 16 years working at a private biotech in Palo Alto and UCSF in the Mt. Zion cancer research center and was published in the Proceedings for the National Academy of Sciences (PNAS) for his graduate work at Lawrence Berkeley labs in discovering and mapping 2 new genes thought to be involved in breast and ovarian cancer progression.  Being a scientist, he pays attention to every detail.

After a repetitive strain injury at the lab, he became a licensed real estate agent and worked at Prudential in Alameda and J. Rockcliff realtors in Walnut creek for about 6 years. He started working in the moving industry at the bottom selling small 1 bedroom moves and worked his way up to outside sales, dispatcher, and operations manager, to general manager and eventually an owner.  He opened Quantum Moving in 2018.

Rogelio Cortes – CEO/PARTNER  (10 years experience)

Rogelio started working in the moving industry in 2012 where he met Daniel and started a friendship.  He could see how hard Dan worked to provide excellent service to all the customers and how dedicated he was to working long hours to get all the estimates done.  Dan noticed that Rogelio was very carful with customers’ goods and he seemed to care about the quality of service we offered.  About 5 years later, after Dan had been running another moving company for a few years, they stayed in touch and decided to go into business together. Dan had the sales, estimating and customer service and marketing skills while Rogelio had two trucks and the operations knowledge.  A perfect partnership was started and Quantum Moving was formed a year later.  Rogelio is happily married with 2 beautiful kids and a loving wife, Leticia.  Rogelio is the most carful driver and mover and is very kind and friendly with all the customers.  I could not hope for a better partnership.  He is 100% honest too and very trustworthy.  He is one of the best movers I know.
