Quantum Moving was founded in 2018. The two owners, however, have over 25 years of combined experience in the industry. Our movers and drivers all have a minimum of 5 years to 15 plus years of experience. We do not hire rookies. This experience has taught us how best to handle the moving process. No matter whether you’re moving locally or long distance within California, commercial or residential, our team can help.

As a team, we pride ourselves on our professional service. We always arrive on time for a job, working carefully to make sure that your belongings are packed and transported properly. We have a proven track record of success; we’ve never lost any items and have completed thousands of moves successfully with no major damages, claims or complaints.

MISSION STATEMENT

Most people who have used a moving company to relocate a few times have had at least one or more terrible experiences. From not receiving a realistic price quote, to additional unforeseen or extra charges, to major damages, rude and inexperienced movers, and salespeople with an attitude, to claims that are ignored and late deliveries or having the movers show up with a truck that is too small or with less movers than expected…or even not show up at all.

Moving is stressful enough without all these problems and nobody wants to go through this kind of a moving experience or get ripped off and yet these things still happen all the time and far more frequently than they should.

Unfortunately, there is just not enough regulation within the moving industry to prevent these things from happening. Customers be warned – Please do your homework and check out reviews and complaints on any company that you are thinking about hiring. Of course, the best recommendation is word of mouth. Ask your friends and family who have moved about the moving experience they had and if it was good, go with that company.

We believe that if we are careful, honest and 100% transparent with our customers about pricing and services and then make sure that we deliver on our promise, that we will have very happy customers. The formula to a successful move is actually very simple. All our salespeople and movers have many years of experience and that is the key to our success. You are only as good as your weakest link, and we simply don’t have any.

MEET THE OWNERS

Daniel Polikoff – CEO/PARTNER (14 years experience)

Has a background in cell and molecular biology and cancer research with a graduate Master’s degree from San Francisco State University. His undergraduate degree was obtained at Loyola Marymount University in Los Angles in 1986 in Biology and pre-med with a minor in biopsychology. He spent about 16 years working at a private biotech in Palo Alto and UCSF in the Mt. Zion cancer research center and was published in the Proceedings for the National Academy of Sciences (PNAS) for his graduate work at Lawrence Berkeley labs in discovering and mapping 2 new genes thought to be involved in breast and ovarian cancer progression. Being a scientist, he pays attention to every detail.

After a repetitive strain injury at the lab, he became a licensed real estate agent and worked at Prudential in Alameda and J. Rockcliff realtors in Walnut creek for about 6 years. He started working in the moving industry at the bottom selling small 1 bedroom moves and worked his way up to outside sales, dispatcher, and operations manager, to general manager and eventually an owner. He opened Quantum Moving in 2018.

Rogelio Cortes – CEO/PARTNER (10 years experience)

Rogelio started working in the moving industry in 2012 where he met Daniel and started a friendship. He could see how hard Dan worked to provide excellent service to all the customers and how dedicated he was to working long hours to get all the estimates done. Dan noticed that Rogelio was very carful with customers’ goods and he seemed to care about the quality of service we offered. About 5 years later, after Dan had been running another moving company for a few years, they stayed in touch and decided to go into business together. Dan had the sales, estimating and customer service and marketing skills while Rogelio had two trucks and the operations knowledge. A perfect partnership was started and Quantum Moving was formed a year later. Rogelio is happily married with 2 beautiful kids and a loving wife, Leticia. Rogelio is the most carful driver and mover and is very kind and friendly with all the customers. I could not hope for a better partnership. He is 100% honest too and very trustworthy. He is one of the best movers I know.

I literally can't say enough about these guys! For me, moving is the worst activity on earth! These guys actually made it completely PAINLESS, and almost FUN!! They are so quick and yet so careful, and absolutely respectful of your belongings and your home. Everything wrapped. Not one scratch. Absolute perfection. Alby is an awesome human, skilled at his craft and great sense of humor. Ivan and Jonathan were so kind and hard working! Just lovely guys. Competitively priced.
Five stars is not enough. The guys, and Quantum Moving, deserve 100 stars!!!

Moving is a crazy and stressful event, but I can tell you after hiring these guys, that you don't need to stress about what you hired them to do. We moved 400 miles and exactly one thing (that was already cracked) broke. 3 bedrooms worth of stuff. One (already) broken item. That's a win.
We packed everything and they executed the heavy lifting, driving, and personnel. They told us a price and a maximum ceiling and they not only stuck to it, but came in well under the cieling after we needed a couple of last-minute services (like boxing up big plants and what not).
I've heard horror stories of other people's moves with different companies: Missing bits, broken valuables, movers that double the quote and won't leave til they're paid. NONE OF THAT with Quantum.
They're honest, thorough, helpful, very nice, fast, reliable, and careful. They weren't eaxctly the cheapest option, they weren't close to the most expensive either, but they 100% live up to the great reviews. They're worth it. They got the personnel. Go Quantum. You won't be sorry.

They won't give me a quote and told me they're not interested in working with me because I mentioned that the house had mold remediation. They came highly recommended, but this is just very unprofessional. I do not recommend this company.

We hired Quantum to move our 1-bedroom apartment this month and they did a fantastic job! Humberto, Jonathan, Carlos and Ivan were fast, efficient, easy to communicate, and took great care of our belongings. They went above and beyond to protect some delicate pieces we had, which we really appreciated. We had a great experience! Would definitely hire them again and highly recommend them for anyone moving in the Bay Area.

Top notch moving company, my wife and I used them for the second time in 3 years recently. We used them for a local move, and had Quantum pack our boxes. Were reliable and on-time with the in-person quote, efficient with the packing and moving day, and easy to work with. We realized that our bed was put back together wrong, and called Quantum around 6 pm - they promptly sent someone out to come and fix it the same night so that we were all set. Pricing was much more reasonable, when compared with the other highly rated movers that served our area. Couldn't recommend enough, Dan takes a lot of pride in what he does, which definitely filters through into company culture. Thanks guys!

I had the pleasure of meeting Jim, Johnathan and Ivan. Three extremely professional and knowledgeable movers. I had to move from a 3 bedroom home into an apartment. These guys were so careful and caring with my furniture and boxes. I felt like they were moving their own items and made sure to ask questions every step of the way. Excellent work! I highly recommend them!! I was pleased with the price as well! Done within 5 hours!
